OUT WEST
2018
This interdisciplinary body of work was created with the starting point of looking in more depth at the ancient Cornish landscape and my connection to it. Following Peter Lanyons map, along the Penwith Coastline from St Ives to St Just, and information gathering directly taken from the landscape.
My approach is fluid and less precious in the treatment of surface, working outside with the elements and using found materials as mark making tools. Breaking the rules; using actual earth from the hillside in St Just and working with a non-traditional palette.
